was born in 1982 in Barcelona, Spain. She obtained the Título Superior de Violín in 2001 from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Barcelona, studying with Agustín León Ara. In 2002 she started the Bmus Undergraduate at the Royal College of Music with Yossi Zivoni, finishing with Distinction in 2006.
She is currently studying with Maurice Hasson the second year of the Postgraduate Diploma at the Royal Academy. Carlota has played in many youth orchestras such as the Catalan Youth Orchestra (JONC), Spanish Youth Orchestra (JONDE), European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) and the Jeveneux Musicales World Orchestra. She also has collaborated with professional orchestras such as Barcelona Symphony Orchetra(OBC), Joaquín Rodrigo Chamber Orchestra, Real Filharmonia de Santiago and Granada Symphony Orchestra.
Since 2007 she is guest co-solist of Tenerif Symphony Orchestra. She has worked with such conductors as Bernard Haitink, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Pavo Jaarvi, Jean Pascal Tortelier, to name a few. She has recently performed a solo concerto with Andorra Chamber Orchestra in the "Palau de la Musica" in Barcelona.
Carlota has obtained the Bloch Award at the Royal Academy of Music and the first prize in the Spanish competition "Jovenes Interpretes de Ibercaja"
